Alluvial Restaurant – Melbourne – a hotel restaurant for those who want to indulge

Alluvial Restaurant is located within the Intercontinental Hotel Melbourne with entrances on both Collins Street and Flinders Lane. I’ve visited Alluvial Restaurant a number of times and have been impressed with the quality of the dishes, the atmosphere, and the service. It’s a destination worth taking your corporate colleagues out to, or for those special occasions with friends and family.

HighlightsLocated within the Intercontinental Hotel, Alluvial is an exquisite dining space with high ceilings and an array of delicious dishes.

The restaurant is housed within the central area of the Intercontinental Hotel. You can easily look up into the high ceilings to see the many rooms the hotel offers as well as an array of beautiful stylishing and décor.

Even though I reserved a seat at the restaurant, it didn’t seem like a reservation was necessary for a weekday dinner.

Like most people, I am simply captivated by the elegantness of the restaurant thanks to it being housed within a five star hotel, its décor is matching some of the best that Melbourne offers, and its open space can be felt. You can easily host many people at this restaurant and still feel like your guests can be heard. I was able to request one of the tables with the comfortable sofas.

I started off with a glass of tap water and followed with a Pepsi Max and their Winter Special Chicken dish for $39.

The chicken dish was excellent. The meat was tender, the vegetables retains their form and texture, and spooning the sauce over the chicken and vegetable was an absolute must. It was a really delicious dish.
