Cafe Omnia is located in Murrumbeena, just across the road from Murrumbeena Station. It’s a kid friendly cafe with a backyard small-sized play equipment, with a short 3 step ladder and slide, and a small open area for toddlers to run around. The cafe offers an array of nice breakfast and brunch plates along with coffees and alcohol.

Cafe Omnia is just across from Murrumbeena Station. You can park at the station if you are looking for all-day parking otherwise it is well serviced by trains and buses.
There is a chorus of families at the venue walking in and out of the venue. Many of whom are here to enjoy the breakfast or brunch, while letting the kids loose in the backyard with the small play equipment.
The restaurant itself is quite interesting, because its one of those narrow corridor joints with a small front, but one that opens up as you traverse further since there is more seating towards the back of the restaurant. Despite is being child friendly, Cafe Omnia’s corridors can feel very narrow for those with bigger prams.
The menu consists of the standard fare of breakfast and brunch dishes, including their Big Breakfast option as well as some unusual dishes like Spicy Korean Chicken on Waffles.
We opted for the Falafel Bowl ($21.50) and Spicy Korean Chicken on Waffle ($23.80), as well as a Kids Waffle ($12) and a Mocha ($5.5). The Spicy Korean Chicken on Waffle had a few deep fried chicken tenders sitting atop of waffle drenched in red Korean spicy sauce, with a nice creamy coleslaw to the side. It was an alright dish. The Falafel dish was alright too.
It was a nice cafe, with a nice atmosphere and decent food and drinks. It’s worth visiting with the family if you are looking for something to do or want to have an easy weekend. Plus they didn’t seem to charge a weekend surcharge to the bill.
