Nestled in the heart of Broadbeach on the vibrant Gold Coast, the Dorsett hotel is a standout option for accommodation within the iconic Star Casino complex. Conveniently situated across the road from the bustling Pacific Fair Shopping Centre and the terminal for the light rail service, this chic establishment offers guests a lavish retreat amid the glittering lights of the city.
From the moment you step foot into the hotel, you’re greeted by an aura of sophistication and elegance. The modern interior, adorned with marble-like pillars and sleek finishes, exudes a sense of luxury that permeates throughout the entire establishment. There is even a nice waiting area with lounges and sofas to wait for your work colleagues or other companions.

Cost | From $157 per night |
Location | 5 The Darling Avenue, Broadbeach QLD 4218 |

The hotel boasts its own exclusive entrance, adorned with opulent furnishings and tasteful decor, offering a seamless transition into the realm of indulgence (and glitzy high roller antics). With convenient access to the Star Casino complex via interconnected stairways and hallways, guests can easily explore the myriad entertainment options at their leisure. The Star Casino itself has several conference rooms and restaurants (mainly catered towards adults), but not much else. If you are looking for a cheap feed, I’d recommend heading to the tuck shop on the casino floor.
One of the highlights of the Dorsett Gold Coast is its inviting outdoor pool, where guests can bask in the warm Queensland sun and unwind amidst tranquil surroundings. Whether you’re looking to take a refreshing dip or simply lounge by the poolside with a cocktail in hand, the serene ambiance sets the stage for a blissful retreat.
As for the accommodations, the rooms at Dorsett Gold Coast are tastefully appointed and decently sized, offering a comfortable sanctuary for guests to relax and rejuvenate. However, it’s worth noting that standard rooms do not feature bathtubs, which may be a consideration for those seeking a luxurious bathing experience.
While the rooms are thoughtfully designed, some guests may find the storage space to be somewhat limited. With a more open-plan layout extending from the bathroom basin to the clothing rack, there’s a sense of minimalism that may appeal to some but could pose a challenge for those with extensive wardrobe needs or desire some privacy for their belongings (from room cleaners).
The Dorsett is well located in the Broadbeach area with lots of interesting restaurants across the highway. Broadbeach is great for those with slightly more refined tastes than the more laid back and touristy north in Surfers Paradise. Folks on the Gold Coast are generally more laid back than most other Australians with late opening, yet early closing hours, and more conservative attitudes. In most of the Gold Coast, there’s a lot of opulent things you can see everywhere, but on closer inspection there is not a lot of love nor care in placement.
Overall, Dorsett Gold Coast offers a stylish and sophisticated retreat in the heart of Broadbeach, where guests can immerse themselves in luxury and convenience. With its prime location, chic amenities, and impeccable service, this hotel sets the stage for an unforgettable stay on the dazzling Gold Coast. Whether you’re here for leisure or business, Dorsett Gold Coast promises a memorable experience that will leave you longing to return time and time again.
