Food Factory is located in an ever growing busy laneway, Rose Lane, close to Spencer Street. Food Market offers great food and value with a Hong Kong-style canteen experience and special $22 set meals (with various main meals depending the day of the week and either a milk tea, iced lemon tea, or daikon and chestnut soup).
Highlights | Most days there are set menu ($22 for a main dish and drink/soup) and specials you should try. It’s a popular destination for many locals looking for a more traditional Hong Kong canteen. |

Food Factory can be hard to find given the signage is quite hard to spot. But it shouldn’t be hard to see that its a very popular destination for locals looking for a good Hong Kong style canteen experience.
The menu is packed with typical Hong Kong, Cantonese style dishes from thick toast to roast duck/pork plus many of things in between.
Visiting with friends, I dined in, ordering their Black Bean Pork and Crispy Pork on Rice with Soup for $22. Could choose other dishes and other drinks. The pork was super nice, with both meats being thicker than usual and packed with flavour and were so succulent. The soup that came part of the set was a nice, refreshing soup with daikon and chestnuts.
On the day, for the same $22, you could also choose their Beef Brisket and Tendon with Noodle Soup. It looked really nice with a good serving of brisket, tripe and tendon.
The Sliced Pork Belly and Roast Duck were really delicious as well. They definitely did a great job with putting together some good food, which explains why there is no shortage of people visiting this restaurant most lunches and dinners.
