Laksa Town – Clayton – just come for their excellent Town Laksa

Nestled within the bustling Clayton Road Shopping Plaza, Laksa Town stands out as a humble gem, offering a delightful array of Singaporean-inspired delicacies at affordable prices. With a menu focused on traditional laksa noodles, rice noodle soup, and nasi lemak rice dishes, this unassuming eatery captures the essence of authentic Southeast Asian flavours.

The heart and soul of Laksa Town’s menu lies in its simplicity and affordability. Catering to those craving a taste of Singaporean cuisine, the menu features a selection of comforting dishes designed to satisfy both the palate and the wallet. Among the offerings, the Signature Laksa steals the spotlight, priced at a mere $15. This delectable dish boasts a tantalising combination of two noodles, complemented by a medley of crunchy seafood highlighter, succulent prawns, fried tofu, fish cakes, and chicken, all bathed in a spicy and flavoursome soup that tantalises the taste buds.

During our visit, we also sampled the Fish Ball Noodle Soup priced at $14. While the dish featured flat rice noodles, fish balls, and fish cakes, the overpowering fishy aroma of the soup left much to be desired in terms of taste and aroma. However, it provided an opportunity to explore the diverse range of offerings on the menu.

Dining in at Laksa Town, we found the experience to be straightforward and unpretentious. Guests are expected to self-serve water, while the attentive staff readily assist with other requests. The tables are minimally adorned, offering only cutlery, with additional condiments available upon request—an aspect that adds to the no-frills charm of the establishment.

Laksa Town offers a delightful culinary journey through the vibrant flavours of Singaporean cuisine. While the menu may be simple, its affordability and the standout quality of dishes like the Signature Laksa make it a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts in Clayton and beyond.
