Nestled in what is becoming Melbourne’s Korean town in its north west is a popular franchise from Korea, Sinjeon K-Street Food. Sinjeon K-Street Food manages to show what it has on offer with its beautiful display of food models by its front window.

The dining set-up is simple with chairs and tables suited for casual get togethers, while in terms of service most of the water, utensils and condiments are self served.
Once you are seated, you are able to order and pay using their QR code on the table. It is all pretty simple.
You can get to Sinjeon K-Street Food by taking the train to Flagstaff Station and then walking to Korean town. You can also use the many free trams to help get you closer to the restaurant if you are further away. Also, we didn’t need to book to get a table. The restaurant is surrounded by other Korean restaurants and there are plenty of choices.
The combo is a decent deal which offers a bit of everything
The menu at Sinjeon K-Street Food is extensive. It includes fried chicken, corn dogs, instant noodles, japchae noodles and cheese sticks. All at reasonable prices for the city.
We ordered the combo deal for $42, which includes one original topokki, eight fried fish cakes, eight crispy dumplings, four fried seaweed rolls and two eggs. The combo has comes with two drinks as well, so we got a can of grape and another can of pear juice. On top, we added beef bulgogi kimbap for an extra $10.
The beef bulgogi kimbap was tasty (and the highlight of the meal), the topokki was spicy with rice cakes and beancurd, and the dumplings were crunchy. The two eggs seemed like a weird additional, but was happy to have them.
