Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney – centrally located hotel with the potential for city views

The Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney seems to be a hidden gem in Sydney’s CBD. It is a large hotel catering mostly for business people, aircrew and mature-age folk (but it can cater for families and younger couples too). The hotel is central to most of the key attractions in the city and if you are lucky enough, you can book a room with a bathtub with a view overlooking the city.

I happened to get booked into a room for people with disabilities, so it was roomier but I didn't get the benefit of a bathtub overlooking the city

Getting to the hotel is relatively easy thanks to the light rail and trains. You can also get a taxi.

I had a king-sized bed. The room itself is comfortable with a large bed and enough space to stretch and walkaround. It offers cable television and a minibar (which requires additional payment). The décor was great and there was lots to like about the room’s presentation as well as it’s look and feel.

I happened to be booked into a room for disabled person, so I had extra rails and seats in the bathroom. (I should have asked for a better room.) Though I was happy with the number of amenities provided, including towels and shower gels. But I was annoyed that despite paying corporate rate that I ended up on a lower floor and missed out on all the good views. (So, I highly recommend asking for a higher floor if you get the opportunity.)

I was able to leave my luggage with the hotel before checking in and also after checking out.

This hotel is a five star hotel with an indoor pool and club lounge. The lifts seems a bit dated, but there were enough lifts.
