Walking through The Corso one afternoon, we came across a long queue for Anita Gelato. The queue stretched all the way into the street. Without hesitation, I made sure I joined the queue to see if their ice-cream was worth all the commotion. Let’s just say, it was worth the wait.
Highlights | Heaps of ice-cream flavours on rotation at this international ice-creamery from Israel. Plenty of exciting and sweet flavours. |
Cost | $7.2 for a small $9.4 for a medium |
Location | 46-48 The Corso, Manly NSW 2095 |

Some of the ice-cream flavours are quite exotic for ice-cream, including watermelon, rum and raisin, and popcorn and honey and caramel – all of which looks and taste great. The flavours rotate, so you have to come back other days if there is a certain flavours you want to try.
We visited on a Saturday, which may explain why The Corso was so busy.
Experience an overwhelming number of flavours
While waiting in the queue, I was busy working out what flavour to choose. I settled with watermelon and their cheesecake flavours in a waffle cone for $9.4. It was worth the experience.
It was hard to find seating on the day and even though we got seating, it was quite messy and sticky. There is a self-serve water tap near the counter with water glasses, so that you can help yourself to a glass of chilled water.
