Gumbuya World – Tynong North – Victoria’s main water theme park with rollercoasters, zoo and farm animals

Gumbaya World, a fair distance from Melbourne, is a large theme park in the south-east, just past Pakenham. Getting there is a breeze, thanks to the convenient Monash Freeway route.

This amusement park is divided into four distinct worlds: Oasis Springs, Oz Adventure, Outback Explorers, and Gumbuya Wildlife Park. Oz Adventure is where the older kids can get their thrills, with a fantastic array of carnival rides including a giant swing, cha cha spinner, and not one, but two rollercoasters.

For the younger ones, Outback Explorers is the place to be. Kid-friendly rides like dodgem cars and spinning teacups abound, ensuring a day of giggles and grins.

Come the warmer months, from November to March, the water park opens its gates, providing a refreshing respite from the heat. It’s the perfect spot to splash and play.

The Wildlife Park is a true Aussie highlight, featuring an array of native animals like kangaroos, emus, and dingos. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with our unique wildlife.

During the off-peak season, adult tickets are reasonably priced at $40, granting access to all worlds except the water park, which remains closed. What’s great is that both Oz Adventure and Outback Explorers offer family-friendly rides without the hassle of long queues.

The Wildlife Park is a standout feature, with a plethora of fascinating creatures to observe and even pet. It’s a must-see for animal enthusiasts of all ages.

All in all, Gumbaya World offers a diverse range of experiences for visitors. From heart-pounding thrills to charming encounters with wildlife, there’s something for everyone. Plus, its proximity to Melbourne and easy access via the Monash Freeway make it a convenient choice for a day of family fun.
