NZ Street Food at Dandenong Market – the taste of New Zealand
NZ Street Food is located within the Dandenong Market offering a taste of Zealand with some really interesting options that are hard to find elsewhere like Fried Bread and Hangi. Their Fried Bread is the star of the show with a really nice bready, almost donut-like texture but definitely more savoury in taste. It’s both fluffy in the middle and crunchy on the outside.

| Highlights | Definitely give their Fried Bread a go. They use their Fried Bread in all the burgers and add it to pretty much all the deals. |
| Cost | $1.5 for 1 piece of Fried Bread $20 for a NZ Street Food Hangi Pack which consists of 2x Chicken Pieces, 1x Pork Chop, Cabbage, Pumpkin, Potato, Stuffing and 1x Fried Bread |
| Location | Dandenong Market, 4/40 Cleeland Street, Dandenong VIC 3175 |

The menu consists primarily of their Fried Bread, which is practically in everything they do. That’s a good thing, because their Fried Bread is excellent and worth trying. They have their own Fish and Chips, a Hangi Pack which consists of meat and vegetables, and various burgers – all of which you can add chips to.

I’ve visited a number of times and tried their Fried Bread – which is a nice snack from time to time.
Below, I tried their Slow Cooked Pork Burger which came with slow cooked pork, gravy and coleslaw sandwiched between two Fried Breads. It’s a really nice, soft bread with a hot, delicious combination of meat in the mouth pork, gravy and slaw. Although I added chips to the meal, they weren’t anything special but were fine yet expensive for chips at this sort of joint.
They also offer a number of juices and soft drinks from New Zealand brands I’ve not seen else.
