The Chicken Experts – Mount Waverley – must try their Crispy Chicken Burger

The Chicken Experts in Mount Waverley is an inconspicuous takeout joint for charcoal chicken, fried chicken, souvlaki and other fried snacks. It’s best dish has got to be its Crispy Chicken Burger for $13.90.

The Chicken Experts is located in a shopping complex with lots of specialty stores, an IGA and a bank. The parking is a bit of a labyrinth to get around but at least you can get here by train and other public transport.

I visited this place with a friend who highly recommended their Crispy Chicken Burger. They were raving about how good it was. That first experience left me quite impressed as well, that any visit to this area usually means I’ll pick up Crispy Chicken Burger to go.

The Chicken Experts offer a bunch of takeaway fried foods from charcoal chicken, fried chicken and things like dim sims, potato cakes and souvlaki, but the droves of people who visited during the Saturday night I visited were all keen for their Crispy Chicken Burger.

When ordering, you have a choice of either normal or spicy. The chicken patty itself doesn’t change, but if you choose spicy they will add a special sauce on top along with mayonnaise. The burger itself is $13.90.

The burger itself is comparable to the KFC Zinger burger, but manages to come across as a better, more composed version without that after-eating feeling of having a churning, upset stomach. The burger is composed of the toasted buns, cheese, mayonnaise, chili sauce, lettuce, and the crispy chicken patty.
