Hotel Stellar is one of the many Best Western branded hotels. It’s an affordable hotel with a decent sized room, offering all the usual things you’d expect at a hotel. It’s well placed, because it is adjacent to Liverpool and Oxford Street.
Highlights | A decent sized room with most things you need and enough space for two adults and toddler. The hotel is adjacent to Oxford Street. |
Cost | ~$159 per night |
Location | 4 Wentworth Avenue, Sydney NSW 2000 |

The hotel is around $159 per night. The room comes with decent sized bed, sofa, office table, television with internet access, a decent-stocked kitchen, and mini-fridge.
The interesting thing is how to keep the air conditioning on. To keep the air condition on for eight hours, you had to press an additional power button on the wall and turn on the air conditioner with its remote. (I think this was their way of saving energy.)
The hotel’s location means that it is not far from the city centre. Liverpool Street is one of the main roads in the city. If you head towards the city, World Square with all its trendy restaurants and shops is on the path if you head towards George Street or China Town.
The closest train station is Museum, but you can easily make your way to Central Station as well.
Decent sized room that is affordable and close to the main attraction
The rooms are cleaned each day and towels are replenished daily. There is the option to reuse towels as well.
My one gripe is the sole elevator serving all floors. The elevator is quite rickety. When the elevator doors open and the lift arrives, you can see that the lift is still moving and shifting into place.
Check out this video showing the interior of the room:
