Burger Shack – Melbourne – burgers on the rooftop on Curtin House
Burger Shack is a hidden gem in Melbourne’s central business district, tucked away on level 7 of Curtin House on bustling Swanston Street. Getting there is part of the charm, as you take the elevator up to level 6, then walk up the stairs to the rooftop. Once you step out, turn right and you will find the relaxed rooftop burger shack waiting for you. The space has both shaded tables and open-air seating, creating a casual setting perfect for a lunch break, an afternoon snack, or a relaxed evening meal. You can help yourself to water or grab a beer from the nearby rooftop bar, making it easy to enjoy your food with a drink of choice.

| Highlights | Burger Shack in Melbourne’s Curtin House serves hearty burgers and sides on a relaxed rooftop with city views, making it a top spot for a casual CBD meal. |
| Cost | $20 for their All Day Burger which consists of beef, cheese, onion, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and their special sauce |
| Location | Level 7, 252 Swanston Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 |
The menu focuses on hearty burgers and sandwiches, supported by satisfying sides such as fries, poutine, popcorn chicken, and even a single salad option for something lighter. Prices are reasonable given the rooftop setting, with the All Day Burger at $20, a classic Cheese Burger at $16, and the Texan Burger at $18, among others.

I ordered the Texan Burger, which came loaded with beef, bacon, mayo, barbecue sauce, cheese, and onions. It had a great balance of smoky, savoury, and creamy flavours, with the onions adding a nice crunch. My friend opted for a side of fries, served on a tray in a generous portion with tomato sauce. The fries were crisp, well-seasoned, and paired nicely with the burgers.

Overall, Burger Shack offers more than just a good feed, it’s an experience. The rooftop location gives it a laid-back city vibe, perfect for enjoying Melbourne’s skyline while tucking into a classic burger and fries. Whether you are here for a casual catch-up with friends or a solo escape with great food, it’s well worth the visit.
