Sideshow Burgers – Dandenong – good burgers, fries and ice-creamery joint

It’s tough business opening up in Dandenong, but for the lucky few who live around Dandenong Hospital and High School a new shopping junction opened in April 2023. This came with added Woolworths, BWS, massage parlour, barber, tatts outlet, ShareTea, tabacco store and PappaRich/Nene Chicken combo, plus Sideshow Burgers.

Around the opening days for each of these joints, I noticed that most of the doors and exteriors sustained some damage. Some joints had to get makeshift doors and covers to mask the damage. I feel sorry for the owners and hope it doesn’t perpetuate.

I’ve done takeaway and dined-in, both times I was happy with the quality of their burgers and fries.

When I dined in, I appreciated catching up on the latest UFC bouts on their 80 inch television screen.

Burgers are done well and fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside

During the dine-in session, we went with the Diabolo deal which allowed us to pick any two burgers (except Strong Man and Freak Show burgers), large fries and two cans of drinks. We upsized one of the drinks to iced-tea for an extra $1.

The burgers were excellent and the fries were cooked well, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. (My wife thought the fries were a tad too salty.) I thought the price of the meal was pretty expensive for what you got, but at least it was a decent tasting meal.

During a takeaway session, I ordered their 7 Creepy Clowns, which is 7 nuggets and fries. I thought the nuggets and fries were cooked really well, but again I thought it was expensive.
