State of Grace – Melbourne – $25 lunch specials with drinks
State of Grace is on King Street towards the Southern Cross Station end of the city. It’s a restaurant with a main restaurant floor and a rooftop. The restaurant caters for groups and offers a distinct atmosphere with too many things of note hanging on its walls.
There is a giraffe head taxidermy near the entrance, along with frame pictures and ornaments. It’s incredible to see how much stuff this place has collected. What is also interesting is the mismatch furniture throughout the venue.

Highlights | Visited during a lunch session to try their $25 deal, sitting at their State Level restaurant floor. The floor is decked out with ornaments and a huge giraffe taxidermy head. |
Cost | $25 for their lunch specials |
Location | 27 King Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 |

State of Grace requires guests to walk up some stairs. The “State Level” is where the main restaurant is located. We were seated on a high table with hair chairs and directed to use the QR code on the table to submit our orders. Unfortunately there is a surcharge applied to any order over this method.
State of Grace’s $25 lunch deal consists of a choice of four things: Cheeseburger and Fries, Pumpkin Salad, Barramundi (fish) and Salad, and Vegetable Gnocchi. Plus a choice of one of their select beers, wines or soft drinks.
I opted for their Cheeseburger deal which consists of a basic cheeseburger, fries and a tub of tomato sauce plus a lemon, lime bitters. It was an alright serve of food. The drinks came out first, followed by a 15 minute wait for the food. The cheeseburger and fries were fine.

State of Grace is a pretty loud venue. If you are looking for a venue to have a chat, this probably isn’t it.
