Ging Thai is located along the riverwalk in the Crown complex. This Thai restaurant offers a simple and sufficient menu with many popular Thai dishes from Pad Thai, Massaman Beef Curry, Som Tum, and so much more. The restaurant is located in a wonderful part of the city with options to sit outside to capture the breeze or inside under the high ceilings.

Ging Thai has a fantastic reputation with good reviews and many word of mouth recommendations.
It can be reached by taking the tram to the Crown complex and its front door is actually from within Crown. You can get a seat without a booking during most lunch sessions, but you should book if you are doing a dinner session.
Although the menu is a little more affordable than most of other restaurants at Crown, it is still more expensive than your usual Thai restaurant.
We wanted a quick lunch, so we ordered their Chinese Broccoli with Roast Pork Belly for $29, Pad Thai with Prawns for $29, and a bowl of rice. When we ordered Chinese Broccoli with Roast Pork Belly the servers insisted we add rice to the order, which we complied with and it was the right decision. The star dish was the Chinese Broccoli with Roast Pork Belly because the sauce they use can be generously spooned over the rice for a delicious, fragrant bite. It’s an absolute must try.
The Pad Thai was really nice as well and couldn’t complain about.
Despite ordering only a few dishes, the bill on a Sunday came with several surcharges including their service charge, Sunday surcharge, card surcharge, and who knows what else. But at least we were able to scan our Crown Membership card for free parking (for spending over $50). I think the bill came to around just over $70.
I would still definitely recommend coming to this restaurant if you are looking for a good Thai and are happy to splurge a little more.
