One of the many great things about M-City in Clayton is the choice of Asian cusines available at this tiny shopping center. From memory there is also a lot of specialty milk tea vendors including Tea Royale, Sharetea, Gotcha, etc. It’s a shopping centre with pretty much all you need.
I visited M-City for a quick dinner before catching a movie at the Village Cinema in the shopping complex. This restaurant, at the time offered seating within its confine.
We went with Lucky Dumpling Kitchen, which serves typical Chinese dishes including noodles, dumplings and rice dishes. The prices hover around the AUD$12 to $18 range.
The restaurant has seating for dine in and offers takeaway. The dine in is set up with tables and benches/stools and is quite cosy.
We ordered their Steamed Black Truffle Xiao Long Bao (8 pcs) for $14.8, Spring Onion Oil Chicken Noodles for $16.8 and Stir Fried Pork Slice and Chili on Rice for $17.8.
Their noodles were pretty bland but the spring onion oil added a nice texture to the poached chicken. The chicken was cooked well and wasn’t dry. I thought their dumplings were okay. It was soupy and did what it needed. The shredded pork on rice had a nice flavor but it was more chili then I thought it would be. The rice dish was simply a hearty, enjoyable plate of food.
Overall it was a nice meal for a decent price. It’s menu can cater for the family.
