Mr Huang Jin Dumplings – Melbourne – Taiwanese street food in Melbourne’s central business district
Mr Huang Jin Dumplings is located in Kathrine Place. It is just off from Flinders Lane, and within walking distance to Southern Cross Station. Mr Huang Jin Dumplings is a small restaurant serving Taiwanese street food. It’s one of those places that can be hard to find. But you will be glad that you know about.

Highlights | A chance to try Taiwanese street food in the comfort of a quaint restaurant in Melbourne’s central business district |
Cost | $40-50 for two people during lunch |
Location | 24 Katherine Place, Melbourne VIC 3000 |

Mr Huang Jin Dumplings is good if you are looking for a lunch joint for two people, maybe another colleague. It may be difficult to accommodate more than two people, but it is possible. Most of the tables in this joint seem to only cater for two people.
The menu itself is packed with various Taiwanese snacks and plates from dumplings, noodles, rice dishes, and large share plates.

During my most recent lunch, I ordered the Xiao Long Bao for $19, Taiwanese Beef Curry for $19 and Taiwanese Fried Chicken for $18. I thought the fried chicken (i.e. popcorn chicken) and Xia Long Bao were probably ideal dishes to order again at another visit.
Although the receipt wouldn’t quite be a cheap eats, it could be a cheap eats with a crowd of four.
