Stomping Ground Brewery & Beer Hall – Moorabbin – alcohol, playground, and pub-style meals
Stomping Ground Brewery & Beer Hall is located within the Morris Moor at Moorabbin. It occupies an old industrial complex that has been refurbished into a beer hall with a kids play ground inside. The place is a good place to catch up with friends and family with kids, who want the excitement of alcohol while having something for the kids to enjoy.

We realised that Stomping Ground Brewery & Beer Hall gets pretty busy on weekends, so we made sure to reserve a table for our group. All the tables were taken by around 7 PM. Once we were seated, we were instructed that drinks needed to be ordered at the bar and food ordered from the QR code on the tables.
We had to fend for ourselves mostly for water jugs, cups, and cutlery. When it came to ordering, there was a 15 minute wait for most of the meals. From the menu, there was a decent array of dishes from Chicken Schnitzels, Beef Burgers, Pasta, Steaks, and Wood fire Pizzas. There were also some starters and dedicated kids meals.

The venue itself, while having high ceilings, was very noisy and it was hard to have a decent conversation. I wished there were some acoustics or noise absorbing material to drown out the sounds from other parts of the restaurant. I wouldn’t come if you want to have meaningful conversations with people.
The playground was quite nice, with a few kids activities. It seems to be a place that you could let toddlers and older run around in with other strangers’ kids.

We opted for the Chicken Schnitzel with Pepper Sauce for $26 and their Royal Blue Potato Gnocchi for $28. The food was nice, but small for the price. I liked the way they crumbed the schnitzel and the fact they included the sauce as part of the cost. The apple slaw was nice and had a sweet dressing. The gnocchi was nice as well. For pub-style food, it was nice enough but unremarkable.

A few folks on our table got beers from their cellar. I also noticed a few people drinking at the bar. It seems to be a place for locals to come ease their ails with an ale.
Just outside the venue are several cafes and restaurants plus an Archie Brothers, Holey Moley, and Zero Latency. Definitely a family friendly location.
