Springvale South has a few Vietnamese restaurants in the shopping centre at the corner of Springvale Road and Athol Road. Co Nam Tra Vinh offers standard-fare Vietnamese dishes from rice dishes to noodle dishes plus snacks and salads.

You don’t normally need a booking for these types of restaurants, they are designed for walk-ins and cater to family-sized groups. Most guests will order a bowl or plate of food each and there is usually something on the menu that tickles someone’s fancy.
A decent Vietnamese fare
We ordered their Beef Brisket with Egg Noodles for $17 and their Special Broken Rice for $16. Both dishes were good and done well. Everything you’d expect for these types of dishes at a Vietnamese restaurant was provided and was better than the average.
It’s always good to bring cash to pay your meals, otherwise there are card surcharges.
