ChimNutz – Melbourne – try their Chimney Cone Series

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Little Bourke Street near Midcity Arcade, ChimNutz stands as a unique dessert café, offering an indulgent array of delectable donuts, cakes and ice-creams, or all three in one, that are sure to satisfy customers looking for an interesting, unique treat. My first encounter with this café was at a food festival where they had their own truck and it left a lasting impression.

At ChimNutz, the focus is squarely on desserts, with their signature Chimney Cone Series taking center stage. Priced from $15, these unique creations feature donuts adorned with luscious whipped cream (or ice-cream) and topped with an array of sweet delights. From classic flavours like Snickers and Biscoff to innovative combinations such as Strawberry Cookies and Cream and Taro, there’s something to tantalize every taste bud.

In addition to the Chimney Cone Series, ChimNutz also offers the equally enticing Chimney Cake Series, starting from $12. These decorated donuts boast an array of interesting flavours, including Snickers, Rocky Road, Biscoff, and Black Forest. There is a flavour for everyone.

For those craving a cooler treat, ChimNutz presents an irresistible selection of waffle cone ice-creams, starting from $7. These creamy delights are served in crispy waffle cones, offering a delightful contrast of textures and flavours that is sure to delight the senses. There is the option to add ice-cream to the donuts or the cakes.

During my visit, I opted for the Biscoff Chimney Cone priced at $16, and it was nothing short of a decadent, messy delight. Resembling an ice-cream cone with a twist, the Chimney Cone offered a delightful combination of creamy goodness and indulgent sweetness. However, the rapid melting of the ice-cream posed a delightful challenge, urging me to savour each spoonful before it transformed into a delightful mess. (It was a lot of fun to eat, and I’d recommend sharing it with your better half.)

Overall, ChimNutz offers a delightful escape into a world of sweet indulgence, where creativity meets culinary craftsmanship. While the prices may lean towards the higher side, the quality and innovation of the desserts justify the expense, making it a worthy destination for those with a penchant for all things sweet.

ChimNutz is a must-visit for dessert aficionados seeking an unforgettable, unique dessert experience. With its inventive creations, delightful flavours, and inviting ambiance, ChimNutz promises a journey into a realm of sweet delights that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
